Regina Catholic School Relocatable ClassroomsRegina, SK
Explore ProjectRegina Catholic School Division has been purchasing relocatable classrooms from a variety of suppliers as far away as Ontario. When 3twenty responded to a public tender, RCSD was excited to use a local option.
Project Summary
The Regina Catholic School Division (RCSD) serves nearly 12,000 students, making it the fourth-largest school division in Saskatchewan. With more than 30 schools and fluctuating demographics, the division relies on relocatable classrooms to adjust space as enrolment changes. Each year, RCSD issues a public RFP to select a vendor for the design and supply of relocatable classrooms.
In 2015, 3twenty submitted a proposal in response to the RFP. At the time, 3twenty had never built classrooms before. Although our pricing was competitive, some specifications required improvement. This process marked the beginning of a collaborative relationship with Regina Catholic School Division. While the division had funding for nine classrooms, it awarded 3twenty three units as a trial run. We refined our specifications to better align with RCSD’s expectations and successfully built and delivered the units on schedule.
Since that initial trial in 2015, 3twenty has continued to respond to RCSD’s annual public RFPs. Each year, the division has selected 3twenty as the successful proponent. While every project brings new and unique site-related challenges, the partnership continues to grow.
