Project Summary
The English River First Nation Band Office provides a modern and welcoming administrative hub that supports governance, community services, and collaboration. Developed in partnership with Flatstone Construction, the facility reflects the Nation’s identity and creates a functional space for staff, leadership, and community members.
This 15,717-square-foot, two-storey building accommodates 41 workstations. It includes multiple meeting rooms and collaborative spaces that support teamwork, planning, and community engagement. The layout encourages connection while supporting daily operations.
Shared spaces enhance both functionality and employee experience. Staff can gather in a large modern kitchen and staff room designed for comfort and connection. A spacious training room provides a flexible setting for meetings, workshops, programs, and events.
Cultural identity appears throughout the building. A carved concrete feature wall, custom murals, and other branded elements celebrate English River First Nation. Design features inspired by the river are reflected in blue acoustic baffles and natural wood wall accents. Upstairs, the Chamber Room features a striking medicine wheel-inspired ceiling, creating a space that honours culture, supports leadership, and strengthens community connection.
